Arif Aliyev is a chairman of the  Yeni Nesil journalists union.  Prior to Yeni Nasil he was a deputy editor-in-chief for “Azadliq”newspaper, an editor-in-chief for “Xezer” journal and  a founder of information and publishing  center Turan.

Aliyev is also a founder of the Media Achary, the most influential award in journalism. He is an author of idea to create Baku Press Club and Azerbaijan Press Council.

Aliyev is an author of articles in more than 800 newspapers and journals. He has produced documentaries, TV and radio programs. He has written and edited 9 books.

Aliyev holds a bachelor’s degree from Moscow State University. He is a certified participant of the various international training courses in USA, Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands and other countries.
